Aarsha Vidya Samajam marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of its West Bengal Centre in Durgapur on Saturday, 27 June 2026, at 12:25 PM.The West Bengal Centre is dedicated to preserve, practice and promote the timeless values of Sanatana Dharma through Dharma Pracharanam, spiritual education, service activities, cultural empowerment and community welfare initiatives across West Bengal.

Serving as the regional hub for the organization's educational, service, empowerment, and protection initiatives, the West Bengal Centre works towards the noble vision of "Krinvantho Vishwamaryam" - making the whole world noble - through the practice of the Pancha Maha Kartavyas (Five Duties). The centre is committed to cultivate spiritual awareness, preserve India's rich Vedic heritage and inspire individuals and communities to uphold the eternal principles of Sanatana Dharma.

A Call to Revive the Sanatana Dharma Heritage of West Bengal

West Bengal has long been one of the foremost centers of Sanatana Dharma, giving India spiritual luminaries such as Swami Vivekananda, Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Rabindranath Tagore, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay and Sri Aurobindo, whose teachings inspired millions and strengthened India's spiritual and cultural identity. For centuries, the land nurtured Vedic learning, temple traditions, devotional literature and a vibrant culture rooted in Dharma.

However, over the past several decades, pseudo secularism, votebank politics, rapid urbanization and brainwashing ideologies, poverty, changing social values and diminishing awareness of Sanatana Dharma have contributed to a gradual decline in the public practice and understanding of Sanatana Dharma among sections of society. Many ancient customs, festivals, and scriptural studies that once flourished have become less prominent in everyday life. Despite this, West Bengal continues to preserve a rich spiritual legacy through its temples, monasteries and devoted communities.

Today, more than ever, there is a need for dedicated individuals to participate in the revival of this timeless heritage. Aarsha Vidya Samajam West Bengal Centre is committed for restoring Dharmic awareness through Dharma Pracharanam, Vedic education, seva, cultural empowerment and community outreach, guided by the vision of "Krinvantho Vishwamaryam" - making the whole world noble.

The AVS centre invites every individual to participate in the sacred mission of protecting, practicing, and promoting Sanatana Dharma. Through the collective practice of the Pancha Maha Kartavyas, selfless service,and unwavering dedication to Dharma, together we can build a spiritually awakened society and inspire future generations to uphold the values of Sanatana Dharma.
